By-Owner Pages?

By-Owner Pages are world wide web homepages that a homeowner can use to advertise his or her for sale by-owner property.  Each page has it's own unique address that can be put on the for sale sign in your front yard, in newspaper advertisements or even in email messages.

Strategy?

Put your By-Owner address in a classified ad, on flyers, and the sign in your yard.   Web-enabled potential buyers will be able to examine your house in detail.  In some respects it's better than having a full page color ad.

How many people will be able to see my web-page?

Current estimates of the Internet users in North America number in the millions.  The largest Internet service provider, America On Line (www.aol.com), has more than ten million customers.  Hardware vendors are now making cheap boxes you can connect to a television that allow you to browse the web.  As we approach the new millenium, more and more of the population of developed countries around the world will be "web-enabled".

What can I put on my By-Owner Page?

Photographs, Panoramas, voice (.wav) files, property descriptions, phone numbers, property address, and email address.

What will my URL look like?

A combination of your geographical area and selected URL suffix.  If you live in the Dallas Texas area, and you choose "greathouse" as your suffix, your web page URL would be  www.3dr.com/dfw/greathouse
